How Handheld Laser Welding Works
Laser light from the source is transmitted through an optical fiber to the handheld welding head, where it is focused onto the workpiece surface. The laser energy is absorbed and converted to heat, melting the material or filler wire. Shielding gas protects the molten pool, forming a high-quality weld that securely joins the two pieces.
The water chiller cools and maintains constant temperature for both the laser source and welding head to protect critical components.
FAQ
How do I choose between 1500W and 2000W?
It depends on your material thickness: 1500W for ≤3mm, 2000W for 1–5mm. If you weld both thin and thick materials, go with the 2000W.
Does it require 380V power?
No. The 2000W model operates on 220V single-phase — a standard workshop outlet works, no special setup needed.
What are the advantages over TIG welding?
| Comparison | TIG Welding | Handheld Laser Welding |
|---|
| Welding Speed | Slow | 3–10× TIG speed |
| Heat-Affected Zone | Large | Small |
| Distortion | Prone | Minimal or none |
| Weld Appearance | Rough, needs polishing | Smooth, consistent |
| Seal Integrity | Porous, prone to leakage | Perfect seal |
| Operator Skill | Needs skilled, certified | 0 experience, 1 day training |
What is the warranty period?
- 12 months full machine warranty from delivery date
- 24 months on laser source and core components
- 3 months on consumables (lenses, nozzles, wire feed wheels)
Do you offer remote technical support?
Yes. We provide 1-on-1 remote video guidance — our professional technicians assist with setup, tuning, and troubleshooting online.
